I Just Don't Get It

"I know how weird I am. I do. I'm sorry. But you know what happens? Everything just...gets to me. Everything. Even the beautiful things, they hurt. And I don't get it, I mean the whole thing. I don't get it."

"I am living in the wrong time...I am fulfilled by the making of hamburger patties, by the care of my child. I like the smell of laundry detergent. I like listening to what (my child) says more than reading the newspaper. I don't want to be a photographer or run for office. I don't want to make a million dollars. I want to read poetry and novels and raise my daughter and make chocolate chip cookies."
